CREATE LABLES IN GMAIL

CREATE LABLES IN GMAIL AND ADD MESSAGES
Using labels for mails and filtering all the important mails can be really helpful in such situations. Label in your Gmail is just like a folder on your computer. The only difference is you can attach more than one label to a mail.
Here is step by step guide on creating a label and filter for all incoming mails.
To create a label:
  1. Click the Labels drop-down menu or if you have keyboard shortcuts enabled, type l. Or, just click Settings > Labels.
  2. Select Create new.
  3. Type the name of your new label and click Ok
To add messages to that label you will have to create a new filter.

To create a new filter:
  1. Click Create a filter (next to the Search the Web button at the top of any Gmail page).
  2. Enter your filter criteria in the appropriate field(s).
  3. Click Test Search to see which messages currently in Gmail match your filter terms. You can update your criteria and run another test search, or click Next Step.
  4. In the next step select “Apply the label” checkbox and then select your label from the drop down list.
  5. Click the create filter button and if you want to add the existing messages to that label then Check the “Also apply filter to xxxxx conversations below.” option.
  6. Now whenever you receive new messages in your mailbox matching that filter, you can see it under that label.
