  18. Research and comment on relevant industry related blogs and blogs with significant centers of influence.
  19. Post regularly. If it’s a news oriented blog, 3-5 times per day. If it’s an authoritative blog, 3-5 times per week, but each post must be unique and high value.
  20. Monitor inbound links, traffic, comments and mentions of your blog – Google Alerts, Technorati, Blogpulse, Yahoo News, Ask Blogs and Feeds.
  21. Always respond to comments on your blog and when you detect a mention of your blog on another blog, thank that blogger in the comments of the post.
  22. Make contact with related bloggers on AND offline if possible.
  23. When making blog posts always cite the source with a link and don’t be afraid to mention popular bloggers by name. Use keywords in the blog post title, in the body of the post and use anchor text when you link to previous posts you’ve made.
  24. Use social networking services, forums and discussion threads to connect with other bloggers. If they like your stuff, they will link to you.
  25. Remember when web sites were a new concept and the sage advice to print your web address everywhere you print your phone number? The same advice applies for your blog.

Limits on Blogger Account - A List You Should Rember while Using Blogger

Limits on Blogger Account - A List You Should Rember while Using Blogger
I have come to know that so many Bloggers are not aware from the fact that there are the limits on your Blogger account, But just in case you were wondering, here is some information about what a single Blogger account will hold. There is a list of things which you should remember while using blogger as your blogging platform.
Limits on Blogger AccountNumber of Blogs: You can have as many blogs as you like on one account.
Number of Posts: There is no limit on the number of posts you can have on one blog. They will all be saved on your account (unless you manually delete them) regardless of whether you are publishing archives or not.
Size of Posts: Individual posts do not have a specific size limit, but very large posts may run you up against the page size limit. (See the next item.)
Size of Pages: Individual pages (the main page of your blog, or your archive pages) are limited to 1 MB in size. This will allow for a few hundred pages of text, but it may be a problem if you are listing hundreds of posts on the front page of your blog. If you hit this limit, you will see an error message saying "006 Please contact Blogger Support." You can get around this error by lowering the number of posts on your main page, which will have the added benefit of making your page load faster as well.
Number of Comments: A post can have any number of comments. As with archived posts, if you choose to hide comments on your blog, all pre-existing comments will remain saved on your account.
Number of Pictures: Up to 1 GB of total storage, shared with Picasa Web
Size of Pictures: If you are posting pictures through Blogger Mobile there is a limit of 250K per picture.
Team Members: There is a limit of 100 members per blog.
Number of Labels: Up to 2000 unique labels per blog and 20 per post.
Blog Description: Limited to 500 characters, with no HTML. Adding additional characters or HTML may cause it to revert to a previous setting.
"About Me" Profile Information: Maximum of 1,200 characters.
Profile Interests and Favorites: Maximum of 2,000 characters in each field.

How to Make A Post in Blogger Via Email?, this is the question of some blog reader and so today i will guide you on this and let you know how how you can do posts in blogger from your email accounts via sending just a mail. Very few of Blogger.com users know that they can update their blogs through emails easily. If for any reason you can't access blogger.com or unable to update your blog using third party blog post editors there is a convenience of email posting that blogger offers.
Blogger Posts Via EmailBy default this email posting feature is turned off on all new blogs but if you want to enable this you need to follow the instructions given below:

1. Login to blogger.com and choose the blog (if you have multiple blogs in your account) for which you want to enable email posting.

2. Click on small envelope icon beside blog's title. (See image given below)

Blogger Posts Mail Icon
3. On a pop-up set a secret word of your choice.(See image given below)

Email Posting
Now Click on the Save Button, After setting up a secret word would make an email address like this:

YourUserName.YourSecretWord.blogger.com

Keep the email address secret as this would be a public email address and anyone from anywhere send an email to update your blog by sending an email to this email address. So keep this in safe place and give only to a trustworthy.

Now To update your blog through email posting:

1. Create a new email from any email address.
2. Add your secret email address of your blog in recipient's address box.
3. Put in some Subject because that would be the title of the post.
4. Write the text in the email body and that would be the text of the post.

You can also attach images in your posts by attaching the images in email as attachments.

That's it! A very convenient way to update your blog. This is very handy if you receive an email related to your blog's niche so instead of copying whole email message and downloading the images attached with it, you can directly forward it your blog as your next blog post :)

How to Upload YouTube or PhotoBucket Video on To Blogger

How to Upload YouTube or PhotoBucket Video on To Blogger
How to Upload YouTube or PhotoBucket Video on To Blogger Platform, I have find some problems while uploading the youtube or Photobucket video and getting some error message like - 'Network problem' and upload has failed. So in this article we will discuss on how you can upload video to your blogspot blog.
Upload YouTube or PhotoBucket Video to blogger

There are two ways to upload videos on Blogger, Either you download video from any source and then upload it from the WYSIWYG post editor or you just copy the embed code and paste that code into HTML section of the WYSIWYG post editor while creating a new post.
Option 1: Open your Blogger Dashboard and click on the Settings and Navigate to the Basic Section of your blog.
Blogger Settings- Now find the Select Post Editor section and check the Updated Editor Radio Button and Save the Settings.
Updated WYSIWYG Editor in Blogger- After saving the settings try to post a new post and you will find the updated WYSIWYG editor where you will get the Add Video Icon click on it and Upload the video which you have already download.(slow internet connection may affect the upload process and might put your self in the failure of the upload.)
Option 2This is very easy and very less time consuming and bandwidth saving option for all, what you need to do here is just copy the embed code from your YouTube or PhotoBucket Video and paste that code in your Edit Html section of the post. (You will find the embed code in html fashion which starts from tag and ends with Tag)
put embed code in Edit Html
- Now Publish the Post and you will find your video into action on your page.

Note: you will not be able to see the video in preview mode while posting but you will find it on your post after publishing.

Add a Categories Section to a Blogger Blog

Add a Categories Section to a Blogger Blog
Blogspot blogs at Blogger.com have no categories only labels. This tutorial will show you how to manually create categories from your existing labels. While this is not an ideal solution it will mean that you can display a logical grouping of your most popular articles under the one heading. This article is aimed at new bloggers and beginner bloggers although it is suitable for all Blogger Blogspot bloggers. No changes to the template are required to add these categories to your Blogger Blogspot blog.

Create Categories from Labels
One easy way to create a categories section is to simply rename the title of the labels widget as categories.
To add a categories section to your Blogger Blogspot blog follow these simple steps:
 1. Decide how you want to group your labels and what headings are your most popular

2. For the first category navigate to the individual page of the label you wish to use by clicking on the label in your sidebar. Copy the URL address of this page from the address bar in your browser (right click and select copy). For example the URL address of the label of Blogger Tutorials on this site is:

http://freefixit.blogspot.com/search/label/Blogger%20Tips
3. Navigate to Layout > Page Elements

4. Click Add a Gadget in the sidebar and select Links List

5. In the Configure Link List dialog box that appears paste the link to your label into the New Site URL box

6. Enter the name of your label or some alternative text if you wish into the New Site Name text box.

7. Enter Categories as the title

8. Choose between sort alphabetically, reverse alphabetically or don't sort

9. Click on Add Link to add the link to your new categories list

10. Click on Save

11. For every label you wish to put into the Categories Section copy the link and add it to the Configure Links List. By the end you will end up with two or more categories in your list.

Limit the Number of Posts Displayed in the Categories Section
To put a limitation on the number of posts to display in the new categories section you will need to adjust the URL's of each label as follows:

From:
http://yoursite.blogspot.com/search/label/CategoryName
To:
http://yoursite.blogspot.com/search/label/CategoryName?max-results=max number of posts to display
So for the category Blogger Tutorials on this site for example I would enter the following to have only 25 posts displayed:
http://blogknowhow.blogspot.com/search/label/blogger%20Tutorials?max-results=25
This tutorial has shown you how to add a categories section to the sidebar of your Blogger Blogspot Blog using the Link List widget.
