To attach a file for Gmail... What can do first we click on Attach file then a wizard will opened then Browse those corresponding file to attach then click open..Then the file will attached to the file attachments...But now a days you will attach a file with drag and drop process like we do on the normal system process..
On latest browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox 3.6, Browsers supports this Drag and Drop Option for gmail attachments...
