CREATE YOUR OWN APPLICATION SHORTCUT IN GOOGLE CHROME BROWSER

CREATE YOUR OWN APPLICATION SHORTCUT IN GOOGLE CHROME BROWSER
Do you rely heavily on some websites, such as your email? If so, you may want to create applications shortcuts for these websites. They can be placed on your computer desktop and menus for easy access.

Follow these steps (for Windows):
  1. Click the Page page menu menu.
  2. Select Create application shortcuts.
  3. In the Gears dialog, select the checkboxes for the locations where you want shortcuts to be placed.
  4. Click OK.
When you double-click a shortcut icon, the website opens in a special streamlined window that doesn't display tabs, buttons, the address bar, or menus. Many of the browser functions are available instead in the menu that appears when you click the page logo in the upper-right corner of the window.

Incognito mode (private browsing) In Google Chrome

For times when you want to browse in stealth mode, for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Here's how the incognito mode works:
  • Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito aren't recorded in your browsing and download histories.
  • All new cookies are deleted after you close all incognito windows that you've opened.
Changes made to your Google Chrome bookmarks and general settings while in incognito mode are always saved.
